Nantwich Market traders have joined thousands of others around the country to unite as part of the “Love Your Local Market Campaign”.

The campaign, led by the National Association of British Market Authorities, aims to attract new visitors and shoppers to the market and celebrate the important part they play in the local community.

RSPCA Stapeley staff nurse fox cubs that fell into deep pits

Staff at the RSPCA wildlife centre in Nantwich are caring for four fox cubs who all survived serious injury after falling into deep concrete pits.

The first cub was rescued from the construction site in Cannock on April 29, followed by another one the following day and a further two on May 1.

Nantwich nightclub The Studio has been given permission to extend its opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays to 4.30am despite objections from some nearby residents.

The Studio, on Castle Street, currently has permission to open until 3.30am Monday to Saturday and until 2.30am on Sundays.
