A driver has been seriously injured in a crash which closed the busy A51 Nantwich bypass today.
The accident happened at around 2.15pm between Peacock and Sainsbury’s roundabouts.

The decision to hold a further public consultation was taken immediately after the highways and transport committee agreed to introduce parking charges in the currently ‘free’ towns and villages and hike up fees in those which already pay.
Emaciated dog found dumped and dead in woods near Nantwich
An emaciated bulldog who had been heavily bred has been found dead in woodlands near Nantwich.
The RSPCA are appealing for witnesses after the discovery was made by a member of the public in a wooded area off Poole Hill Road on Monday (22 January).

Eleven members of Cheshire East’s highways and transport committee today (Thursday) voted in favour of implementing the new charges, with one voting against and one abstaining.
