Wistaston pupils celebrate Chinese New Year in style

Children in Wistaston celebrated Chinese New Year with activities presented by Olwyn Payton from Nantwich Sainsbury’s. Olwyn worked in Hong Kong for 15 years and brought her knowledge of Chinese culture to share with staff and pupils to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.

A Reaseheath College student has won a national competition for an essay suggesting how to breed beef cattle for a sustainable future. Emily Morris, 16, took first prize in the beef category of the British Cattle Breeders’ Club’s (BCBC) Student Essay Competition.
