Nantwich Triathlon Club swept up at the Triathlon England Regional Awards.
After just 18 months, the club and its organiser Paul McIntyre won several North West accolades.

Wistaston tennis tournament held in memory of club stalwarts
A new annual tennis tournament – The Wistaston Cup – was held at Wistaston Jubilee Tennis Club in memory of two club stalwarts Alan Jones and John White.
The Wistaston Cup is a round-robin format involving two teams of eight players, with four matches over four rounds.

Nantwich Paralympic hero Andy Small was given a VIP welcome by Mornflake in Crewe where he visited the firm’s new shop and received a surprise presentation.
The wheelchair racer, who scooped gold in Tokyo this summer, was presented with a hamper of his favourite Mornflake oats, a branded sweatshirt and donation to his racing kit as he trains for the World Para Athletics Championships in Japan next summer.

Nantwich showjumper Grace Wallace has won the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Second Rounds at Eland Lodge Equestrian.
Grace was competing against nine others in the 1.05m track and she claimed first place on Victoria Wallace’s 13 year-old bay mare Ilena VD Bisschop.

Bunbury Paralympian Stuart Wood has scooped a bronze medal in the thrilling para canoe VL3 200m Vaa final in Tokyo.
It was the 26-year-old’s debut in the Paralympics and the bronze follows a medal-winning performance in the para canoe World Championships in 2019.
South Cheshire Tennis league day renamed in memory of former secretary
The annual Slazenger South and Mid Cheshire Tennis League Presentation Day and tournaments took place at Nantwich Tennis Club in memory of former league secretary.
The event was renamed the “John White Presentation Day” in memory of John who died last July, aged 80, from cancer.
