Nantwich Town were undone by a late penalty as they lost 2-1 away at promotion rivals Farsley Celtic.
James Lawrie netted his fifth league goal of the season with a neat header bringing the game level in the second period after Adam Clayton had given Farsley a first half lead.

Joe Malkin’s sixth league of the season was the difference as Nantwich Town recorded a hard fought 1-0 win over Matlock Town in Derbyshire.
Malkin pounced in the six-yard box after Joe Mwasile was tripped following a fine driving run, with referee Ian Johnston happy to give the visitors the advantage allowing the striker to fire home.

Crewe & Nantwich RUFC Ladies will be aiming to cement their top of the table position when they welcome Vagabonds to the Vagrants tomorrow (January 19).
The Ladies maintained their strong run with a 31-10 defeat of Carlisle Cougars last Sunday.
