Nantwich Museum has received a donation from Nantwich Civic Society to help fund a new kitchen.
The museum’s kitchen is in constant use but has fallen into a state of disrepair at the Pillory Street venue.
Nantwich Players will be staging their first play of 2020 next month, called “Honour” by Joanna Murray-Smith.
“Honour” is described as a frank, honest, play that cannot fail to move anyone who has ever put their trust in another human being.
Nantwich Civic Hall will stage a Quilters Exhibition and Fabric sale at on Sunday January 19.
The annual event now in its 16th year will run from 10am to 4pm.
Nantwich Museum is preparing to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2020.
A series of special events will be held alongside te normal exhibitions, walking tours of the town, workshops, coffee mornings, and other one-off events.
Knitting nannas in Nantwich were entertained by children as part of a pre-school’s campaign to spread festive cheer and kindness.
Tots from Little Crickets pre-school, off Cumberland Avenue, visited the ‘Knit and Natter’ group which meets at Manor Court sheltered housing to deliver mince pies and sing carols.

The annual Crewe Brass ‘Merry Christmas Nantwich’ concert took place in the festive surroundings of St Mary’s Church in Nantwich.

Tickets are £15 per person (price includes food).
