Historical fiction author Charles Cordell will talk about his debut novel “God’s Vindictive Wrath” at Nantwich Bookshop on January 20.
The novel is set in the first weeks of the English Civil War in October 1642, Warwickshire, where 30,000 men gathered to determine the fate of nations and to pursue their own ideals and enmities through brutal and bloody combat.

Hundreds of people enjoyed the annual Crib Service held at St Mary’s Church Nantwich on Christmas Eve.
This re-telling of the Christmas story was performed by adults and young people at 2pm, 3.30pm and 5pm with each performance attracting up to 500 people.

The aim is to offer easy walking for those keen to get fitter in 2023 and to meet new people.
Nantwich is set to host the annual “Battle of Nantwich” re-enactment once again on January 21.
The “Holly Holy Day” celebration marks the 1644 Battle in the town, which proved to be one of the key events in the English Civil War between the Royalists and Parliamentarians.

Brine Leas School in Nantwich is staging a Christmas Carol concert on Tuesday December 13.
The concert is being held at St Mary’s Church in Nantwich and starts at 7pm, with free entry.

The ‘Universal Model Show’ returns to Nantwich on February 26 2023 for the first time since 2020 due to the pandemic.
It will take place at Malbank School & Sixth Form College on Welsh Row.
A number of Christmas concerts and performances are set to take place in and around Nantwich as the festive season kicks in.
First up is Concordia – a chamber choir which formed when a group of singers met outside to sing during lockdown
The RSPCA Stapeley Grange wildlife centre and cattery in Nantwich is urging local people to come along to their festive family fundraising event.
The centre on London Road will hold its traditional Christmas Fair on Sunday December 4.
