Nantwich Town’s Weaver Stadium hosted a different type of sport – the international “Universal Sieger” German Shepherd dog championships!

It was the first time Universal Sieger (German word for winner) was held in the UK and was hosted by the German Shepherd Dog League of Great Britain in their centenary year.

Cheshire East Council to provide Pride in the Park bus service

Visitors to this year’s Pride in the Park in South Cheshire will be able to use free transport to and from the event.

The service, provided by Cheshire East Council’s Transport Service Solutions company, will offer free buses from both Cheshire College South and West and Crewe train station into Queens Park, Crewe.
