By Jonathan White Electronica tribute band Electro 80s thrilled fans with a stunning performance at The Studio nightclub in Nantwich. The two-hour concert set the venue alive with sounds of big 80s electronic bands such as Gary Numan, OMD, Visage, Tears for Fears, A Flock of Seagulls and Kraftwerk.
Crewe Lyceum Theatre has an array of entertainment lined up for all tastes over the next two weeks. The fun kicks off tomorrow (April 1) with the opening of international smash-hit “New Jersey Nights”.
Crewe and Nantwich dance students will feature in the eagerly-awaited Pop Factor show touring the UK. The production, which celebrates the music, fashion and cultural trends of the UK, comes to the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe on Wednesday April 23.
By Jonathan White An array of talent from Cheshire converged on The Vine pub in Shavington for ‘Acoustic Alchemy III’. The free acoustic gig consisted of soloists and groups with performances from TJ Lee, We Are Nomad, Oli Ng, Jordan Cope, and United Breaks.

Music fans in Crewe and Nantwich are in for a treat as the Lyceum Theatre prepares to host top tribute acts next month. Acts for legendary performers like Phil Collins and Abba, as well as a variety rock music night, are all planned.
Popular Nantwich band Blitz Kids release a new studio album “The Good Youth” through Red Bull Records on January 20. The album has been hailed by producers as “a rebirth” for the band made up of Joe James, Jono Yates, Nic Montgomery and Matt Freer.
Nantwich Town Council is planning another Civic Hall party after hailing its first 80s night a huge success. The council teamed up with Warble Entertainment to stage The 80’s Party Night, and the event was a sell-out.
A specialist music show hosted by Nantwich-based The Cat radio has been nominated for a top award. “Monday Morning Blues”, which is broadcast from The Cat’s studio om Frederick Street, has been nominated in the “Blues Matters” magazine writer’s poll.
