Wybunbury Fig Pie Wakes returns to the village of Wybunbury on Saturday June 11 after a three-year break due to the pandemic.
The family friendly event is organised primarily by the Wybunbury Tower Preservation Trust and opens at 1pm with the pie rolling from 3pm.

A Covid vaccination centre set up in Crewe Honda showroom jabbed its last patient on Thursday (March 31).
A large section of the showroom on West Street has been used as a vaccination centre since January 2021 and has administered more than 100,000 jabs to people across Crewe and Nantwich.

Plans for a golf driving range and junior academy centre on land at Wirswall near Wrenbury are being supported by residents from Whitchurch and Nantwich.
Ashbrook Golf Zone has applied to Cheshire East Council for permission to create the driving range and academy centre on agricultural land off Bradeley Green Lane.

Wells Green Methodist Church in Wistaston is launching “Café Wells Green” this Friday (April 8).
The café will be open every Friday morning (10am-12pm) and will serve tea, coffee and squash with donations rather than a price list.
A fund-raising ‘Spring Evening Concert’ will take place on Saturday May 7 at St Mary’s Church in Acton in aid of the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
The concert will feature the highly acclaimed Acton Operatic Society who will perform the best of Cole Porter and Lerner & Loewe among others.
Cheshire East Council bosses say they will make nearly 130,000 council tax energy rebate payments having been allocated £19.2m from the government.
The council is setting up two schemes for the £150 rebate.
