Families across Nantwich and Crewe will start receiving the new Cheshire East Council food caddies from January 6.

It’s part of the authority’s new food waste recycling service and will see caddies rolled out over the next six to eight weeks.

Pupils from a Nantwich school have been crowned recycling champions for Cheshire East with their efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle waste.

An employee for Nick Brookes Recycling Limited was dragged into the unguarded conveyor in Wardle, resulting in his right arm having to be amputated up to his shoulder, Chester Crown Court was told.
