More than 1,200 runners took part in the third annual ‘Nantwich 10k’ road race yesterday (March 17).
The event, organised by RunThrough, took part in a loop on closed roads starting and finishing close to Nantwich town square.
South Cheshire Harriers runners have kick-started their 2024 with a busy month of races and events.
Members competed in a muddy cross country around Reaseheath in Nantwich, with junior and senior teams taking part.

South Cheshire Harriers runners took part in the ‘South Cheshire 20’ one loop running race yesterday (September 4).
The race, starting and finishing at Shavington Leisure Centre, took runners on a hilly 20-mile loop of country lanes through villages of Shavington, Weston, Englesea Brook, Betley, Wrinehill, Shraleybrook, Audley, Barthomley, and Weston.

Twenty-eight members of Nantwich Running Club competed in the Manchester Marathon, with James Tilley achieving a top 25 finish.
Tilley finished with a time of 02:28:23 in what is the second-largest marathon event in the UK and the fourth largest in Europe.
A team of runners from Nantwich Accountants Afford Bond will be raising money alongside the Weston Christmas Light Display this Christmas.
They have taken on the challenge of raising £2,000 for the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice in conjunction with the Weston switch-on at Carters Green Farm.
Hardy runners from Crewe and Nantwich tackled one the highlights of the year at the “killer mile” event in Mow Cop. More than 500 runners braved the wind, rain and notorious Mow Cop hill, including several members of South Cheshire Harriers.
