Nantwich Town Women secured a stunning 4-3 comeback win over league leaders Altrincham in the Cheshire Women’s & Youth Football League Premier Division.
In their final home match of the year, the Dabbers defied the odds and battled back from a half-time deficit to stun their visitors.
Nantwich Town recovered from a heavy defeat in midweek at Hyde to thump Stalybridge Celtic 4-0 at the Swansway Stadium yesterday.
A Kai Evans hat-trick (pictured) helped the Dabbers secure a comfortable win, and sees Jon Moran’s side up to third in the Northern Premier League West.

Both clubs were formed in 1884, so the teams played to win the inaugural “1884 Cup” at the Swansway Stadium.

The match, which first took place in 2021, is dedicated to Andrew, a lifelong Crewe Alex fan and former stadium announcer at Gresty Road.
