Marbury was buzzing with excitement as thousands of visitors flocked to the village for the 44th annual Marbury Merry Days.
Organised by the St Michael & All Angels Parochial Church Council, the event transforms the fields beside the parish church and picturesque Marbury Big Mere just three miles from Wrenbury.
The Olde Barbridge Inn village pub near Nantwich has reopened under new management after a £500,000 investment from Punch Pubs & Co.
The pub is now managed by experienced hospitality professionals Helen and Jamie, who are eager to bring their vision to life and restore the pub to its former glory.

Outline plans for a new 650-home South Cheshire Growth Village on a greenfield site near historic Crewe Hall will be considered by Cheshire East’s strategic planning board.
The outline application, submitted by Bloor Homes, has been recommended for approval subject to conditions.

Britain in Bloom judges from The Royal Horticultural Society toured Wistaston to judge the village in the Town category of the Britain in Bloom 2023 UK Finals.
Two judges met chairman of Wistaston Parish Council John Moore and members of the Wistaston in Bloom group and Wistaston Conservation Group.

The annual “Wybunbury Fig Pie Wakes” will take place in the village near Nantwich on Saturday June 10.
The quirky family-friendly event is organised by the Wybunbury Tower Preservation Trust and opens at 1pm with the pie rolling from 3pm.
