Town councillors in Nantwich are hoping a £15,000 “weed-buster” machine will help clean up its allotments and streets.
They voted to test out the new “Foamstream” machine with a view to buying one for the council’s use.

I have lived in Nantwich for nearly 40 years and feel disappointed at how it is looking mainly due to weeds in gutters and public areas that are no longer being treated by the council.
A councillor called on retail giant M&S to weed out a plant problem plaguing its Nantwich store. Nantwich Town Cllr Andrew Martin says unsightly weeds are turning Beam Street “Simply Food” store into an eyesore as the town prepares to welcome Britain in Bloom judges.
