The annual ‘Holly Fair’ at Wells Green Methodist Church on Brookland Avenue in Wistaston raised more than £1,500.
In the entrance hall, there was a raffle to win a hamper of Fairtrade goods, a competition to win two knitted animals and crocheted items for sale made by 100-year-old church member Olwen Wood.
The congregation of St Margaret’s Church in Wrenbury had the support of the thriving Wrenbury Art Group for its Remembrance Service.
Their paintings were illuminated by tea-lights for the evening service on Sunday.
The Wistaston Community Council Fireworks Display takes place this Saturday October 31 at the Eric Swan Sports Ground (The Brittles) behind Wistaston Church Lane Primary School.
The fancy dress and pumpkin competitions will be judged at 6pm at the Eric Swan Sports Ground.
The LATH (Looking After The Homeless) group will stage an autumn gala concert in Wistaston.
The concert takes place on Friday October 16 from 7.30pm at Wistaston Memorial Hall, on Church Lane.
