Teams battle it out in Wistaston Memorial Hall village quiz

Fourteen teams battled it out over six rounds of ten questions in the Wistaston Memorial Hall annual quiz for the Fred Lorimer trophy.

The quiz setters were Peter and Christina Wainwright who organised their fifth quiz at the hall on Church Lane in Wistaston.

Teams win to keep pace with Crewe Ath in Regional Sunday League

There were wins for Crewe FC, White Lion Ford Lane and Square One in the Crewe Regional Sunday League Premier Division to keep in touch with leaders Crewe Athletic.

Crewe FC travelled to Bunbury, and beat NHB 6-1, thanks to goals from Wayne Beggs, Danny Lavelette, Greg Moore, Lee Mellor, Tom Finch and George Ferguson.
