READER’S LETTER: Mystery lady helped us when lost in Wrenbury
Dear Editor
We recently had a three day break in your part of the country.
Alas on Thursday 28th October we got hopelessly lost in the Wrenbury/Marbury area.

Dear Editor
Labour-run Cheshire East’s Energy Company has lost a whopping £151,000.
It is bad enough that local council taxpayers have recently been forced to pay large increases in the energy costs for their home… they also now have to bail out the council run Energy Company as well!
Dear Editor
At the recent Cheshire East Council meeting (20/10/21), Cllr Quentin Abel presented a notice of motion asking that the Council pledge to join the UK100 Network.
No one can deny Cllr Abel’s commitment or sincerity in bringing this motion to Council and I applaud and support his ambition for a carbon neutral borough.
Anybody who has tried to cross a road in a town or village will have been faced with drivers that don’t ‘let’ you cross the road.
They speed away giving little acknowledgement to those trying to cross the road in particular the old and vulnerable.
I was going to write to Prime Minister Johnson about the report we made on roads and flooding issues in our parish but as he doesn’t know us, that wouldn’t work.
Dear Editor,
Crewe shoppers and visitors are being ripped off by the Labour run Cheshire East Council on car park charges.
Crewe pays the highest parking fees in Cheshire East but in NINE other towns (Sandbach, Alsager, Middlewich, Handforth, Prestbury, Poynton, Bollington, Disley and Holmes Chapel) motorists pay NOTHING to park.
Dear Editor,
Cheshire East Conservatives, together with cross-party colleagues, rejected proposals to consult on a standardised system of charging ‘zones’ across all the borough’s car parks.
Dear Editor,
Labour run Cheshire East Council has appointed four senior roles with combined pay of almost £500,000.
The Borough Council can afford to pay these fat cat salaries….. but day to day services are in a stark decline.
Dear Editor
I have written to Nantwich News several times in recent years about my genuine fear roads in the village of Wistaston will become an accident blackspot due to the associated rise in traffic of several hundred occupants vehicles, due to two new, large housing estates: Wistaston Brook and Kingfisher Reach.
Dear Editor,
Looking forward to the Highways and Transport Committee meeting due to be held on 21st September I wonder if the already delayed car parking strategy will make it onto the agenda.
If so, I wonder what it will seek to impose on us?
Dear Editor,
Minshull Vernon and District Parish Council have put the petition below on the Cheshire East website.
We are urging all residents to sign the petition, to show the Borough Council that they want their overwhelming democratic vote, to save their Parish Council from abolition, to be honoured.
Dear Editor,
In the three Parish Polls on the 10/6/21, residents voted by massive majorities against the changes proposed by the Cheshire East Council.
