A pre-season ‘Nantwich Town FC Women vs Crewe Alex Legends’ charity football has helped raise hundreds of pounds for charity.
The match, held in memory of John Tomkins, raised £680 on the day and will go to The Christie cancer hospital and Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Luke Robinson’s hot streak of form continued as Nantwich CC advanced to the last eight of the T20 Cup and posted an emphatic win in the Cheshire County Cricket League League.
Robinson (pictured) is now the ECB Premier League’s top run scorer after hitting a 97-ball 131 in the first team’s 176-run victory at Toft CC.

The game will be held at Nantwich Town’s Swansway Stadium on Waterlode, kick off 11am.

The team, based at Crewe’s Lifestyle Centre, competed against their North West rivals Aquadis SC (Ellesmere Port) and Sailfin SC (Sale) at Sale Leisure Centre.
Nantwich Walking Football Club reached the quarter finals of their first Neston tournament against seven more experienced teams.
Nantwich started with a creditable goalless game, and were then involved in a 4-4 thriller against Maghull which Nantwich should have won.
Half centuries by Luke Robinson and Simon Mugava were not enough to stop Nantwich CC slipping to defeat as they were floored by Widnes.
After being put into bat at Whitehouse Lane, Widnes amassed 275-7 from their 55 overs.

Nantwich Running Club members have taken part in a community litter pick to help keep the town tidy.
More than 30 members took to the streets of Nantwich along some of their favourite running routes including along Welsh Row, River Weaver footpaths and banks and locations on the outskirts of the town.
