British Lions star Tom Curry and his twin Ben returned to their Crewe and Nantwich RUFC roots to share tips and knowledge with the club’s latest academy players.
The Curry brothers, who have both played for England, were also joined by Cal Ford, and England U20s international.
Crewe & Nantwich RUFC’s under 16s earned a deserved 19-0 victory over their neighbours and rivals Sandbach.
In a hotly contested encounter at the Vagrants, Crewe and their visitors were evenly matched but the hosts’ defence came out on top.
Crewe & Nantwich RUFC senior academy continued their fine form with a 32-12 win over local rivals Whitchurch.
And the victory was even more impressive given 10 changes they had to make from the week before.

Crewe and Nantwich RUFC Senior Academy continued their winning run with a 45-21 victory.
From the kick off, Crewe competed strongly at the break down, leaving the official no option other than to award a penalty.
Crewe & Nantwich Senior Academy team edged a thrilling contest with Bowdon U18s by 31-29.
The Vagrants side travelled to Bowden with a team sheet showing 12 changes from the previous week.

The men showed their power with a 3,000 press- up challenge, and the ladies displayed amazing fitness with a 2,000-burpees fundraiser.
Players and coaches from Crewe & Nantwich Ladies rugby squad are set to tackle a new challenge – 56,000 burpees in aid of cancer charity!
All 28 players and coaches are teaming up to complete 2,000 burpees EACH throughout November, which works out around 66 burpees per day.
Nantwich twin sisters India and Georgie Perris-Redding have been snapped up by Sale Sharks Women ahead of their first season in the Premier 15s competition.
Georgie and India are familiar faces around Carrington as they both work with the club’s community department.
Crewe and Nantwich RUFC men’s team have returned to training in preparation for the 2020-21 season.
The club has already made changes off the field, with new chairman Graham Jackson and the newly appointed director of rugby Nick Kennedy.
Crewe & Nantwich RUFC Women are on the lookout for new talent as they look to build on a successful first few seasons.
The Vagrants based team are hoping to strengthen their numbers as the club prepares ahead of any potential new season.
