Wistaston and Shavington schools land DfE “healthy pupil” funding

Staff and pupils at Wistaston Church Lane Academy and Shavington Primary School are celebrating after landing “healthy pupil” funding from Ministers.

Both schools are in line for Condition Improvement Funding, which is dished out by the Department for Education (DfE).

The new bins are located in Wistaston on the car park at Wistaston Memorial Hall on Church Lane, outside Wistonia Stores on Kings Drive), and outside the new Co-op on Crewe Road.

Cheeky garden gnomes in Wistaston who were targeted by vandals, have made a triumphant return to the village.

Residents were furious when popular pensioner Laurence Perry had 25 of his gnomes smashed or stolen from his Westfield Drive garden and land at the front of his property.
