By Jonathan White The 34th annual Wistaston Fireworks Display went off with a bang as villagers came out in their hundreds. The event started with a children’s best pumpkin and best fancy dress competition at the Park Drive/Westfield Drive.
Nantwich-based The Cat radio station is launching its Community Awards – 2012 scheme. The awards are designed to recognise the people from Crewe and Nantwich who dedicate their time to support all aspects of local life.
Richmond Village Nantwich hosted a black tie benefit ball in aid of the ABF The Soldiers Charity. Around 75 guests enjoyed the event, including Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire David Briggs (pictured, left), Nantwich MP Edward Timpson and Deputy Mayor of Nantwich Graham Fenton.
Lady luck shone on a Nantwich couple for a second time when they won a hamper packed full of food, drink and other items.
