Packed church enjoys Nantwich Choral Society’s gala concert
Opera fans packed in to St Mary’s Church to watch Nantwich Choral Society’s Gala Concert.
John Naylor, musical director, gave a brief explanation of Gilbert and Sullivan’s first international hit, the comic opera H.M.S. Pinafore, before the choir burst forth with two musical numbers followed by a solo from Baritone Richard Suart.
Nantwich Town FC to stage Emergency Services Day on July 8
Cheshire will be holding its first Emergency Services Day at The Weaver Stadium in Nantwich next month.
The event, on Sunday July 8, aims to raise funds for the Donna Louise Trust.
Nantwich Museum to stage EqualiTeas event to mark 1928 Act
Nantwich Museum is to join other venues across the UK in staging an EqualiTeas Event to mark the 1928 Equal Franchise Act.
The Pillory Street outlet will be including the event as part of its monthly Coffee Morning on Friday June 29.
Wingate Centre to stage Teddy Bear’s Picnic at Cholmondeley Castle
The Wingate Children Centre’s popular Teddy Bear’s Picnic event is set to be held in the grounds of Cholmondeley Castle on July 8.
The family fun day is now in its eighth year and helps raise valuable funds for the Wrenbury-based charity near Nantwich.
Nantwich to host second Flower Market in town square
A second Flower Market will be taking place in Nantwich town square this Saturday June 16.
Last year, the town welcomed hundreds of visitors to the new event, which saw stalls packed with an abundance of colour.
Superheroes Picnic returns to Dorfold Park in Nantwich this weekend
Picturesque Dorfold Park in Nantwich will be the backdrop for a major event raising money for children’s charity The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice.
Superheroes Picnic returns this Sunday June 17 after raising a staggering £12,000 for local causes last year including the hospice and Ray of Hope, which supports the maternity and neonatal wards at Leighton Hospital.
NANOCON returns to Nantwich Civic Hall on June 9
NANOCON is coming back to town with the latest popular Comic Con event to be held at Nantwich Civic Hall on June 9.
Organisers expect hundreds of fans of TV and film to “get their geek on” once again when the event runs from 10am to 4pm.

It will be held in Queens Park on Sunday July 15, between 11am and 4pm.

Teams from HS2 Ltd will be staging community information events for residents keen to find out more about the high speed rail project and its impact on South Cheshire.
