More than 25 volunteers turned out for Nantwich Litter Group’s first “Group Pick” of 2013. The hardy residents braved the cold January morning to target litter found on Barony Road to the River Weaver, Middlewich Road to Sainsbury’s and Beam Heath Way.

By Joy Cassidy Not having seen the West End production, I was able to watch Tom Hooper’s version of Les Miserables with no notion as to whether it was faithful adaptation or whether one version was better than the other. I was simply presented with a tragic love story told in epic proportion, beautifully cast and wonderfully gritty.

These stunning images were worthy winners in Nantwich Camera Club‘s latest competition. Andrew Charlesworth scooped top prize in the Print class, while Mark Payne won in the Projected Image category.
Nantwich firms are invited to attend the latest business, networking and coaching event in the town. The session, led by motivational speaker Rob Pickersgill, takes place at the Funky Monkey Café, Regents Park, on Wednesday January 16.
Staff at Richmond Village Nantwich are battling back from Christmas illness to stage their belated panto. Alice in Wonderland will be the fifth pantomime staged at the residential care complex off London Road.
