Friday 22 November marked four years since the previous government’s consultation on pavement parking in England closed.
Cars parked on, and sometimes hogging the whole pavement, will be a familiar sight to many.
RSPCA staff in Nantwich are experiencing their busiest hedgehog season nationwide for three years, with intake numbers already higher than the whole of 2023.
Nationally, by mid-November well over 2,000 had been taken in this year by the charity’s four wildlife centres.
Two Flood Warnings along the River Weaver in Nantwich remain in place today after Storm Bert brought heavy rain over the weekend.
The first is at Nantwich Riverside with a warning that land from Beam Bridge to the railway and properties on First Wood Street, Second Wood Street, Welsh Row, Barker Street, Holland Walk and Weaver Bank are all at risk.

Thousands of people packed into Nantwich town square last night to enjoy the annual ‘Nantwich Christmas Light Switch-On’.
Presenters from local community radio station The Cat compered the event, which was organised by Nantwich Town Council.
Police in Nantwich are renewing appeals for help in tracing Alex Fitzpatrick, who is wanted in connection to assault offences.
Fitzpatrick, 28, from Nantwich, is described as white, with blue eyes and brown hair. He is of slim build and 5ft 8ins tall.

The RSPCA has launched an appeal after a dead dog was found on the playing field of Malbank School in Nantwich.
The grim discovery of an emaciated, female mastiff was made by a local man walking along a nearby footpath.
The Nantwich Singers will be giving their Christmas Concert “The Ivy and the Holly?” in St Mary’s Church in Nantwich on December 15.
Starting at 3pm, the concert will help put residents in a festive mood with new twists on old favourites, carols to join in with, poetry, and some new classics.
