Plan for farm barns conversion near Nantwich look set for approval

Plans to part demolish and convert barns at Baddiley Hall Farm near Nantwich to provide three homes have been recommended for approval.

The application has been “called in” and will be decided by the southern planning committee, rather than delegated to a planning officer, as the applicant’s agent is related to a staff member in the council’s development management service and there have been objections to the scheme.

I read Cllr Sam Corcoran’s recent letter to the borough’s wider press, with some incredulity, particularly with regard to planning matters.

He expounds that the “flood of speculative housing applications in Cheshire East when the Conservatives were in charge has now dried up”, releasing his letter in conjunction with the CE media release this week, confirming that the Inspector has approved Part 2 of the Local Plan (SADPD as it’s also referred to).
