Events leading to the Battle of Nantwich in January 1644 are the subject of a new exhibition in the Your Space Gallery at Nantwich Museum.
The exhibition, called “The Siege & Battle of Nantwich”, will run from January 9 until February 24.

Thousands of people lined the streets of Nantwich to watch the annual Battle of Nantwich & Winter Fayre spectacular.
The event is organised by the Holly Holy Day Society, a small non-profit group of people working with the Sealed Knot re-enactment society and Rotary.
Events leading to the Battle of Nantwich are the subject of a new exhibition at Nantwich Museum, called ‘Road to the Battle of Nantwich’.
The exhibition, running until Saturday February 25, explores how the conflict unfolded.

Troops marched and battled each other as thousands of people flocked to Nantwich to enjoy the town’s Holly Holy Day celebrations.

The museum, which will open at 10am, will run Civil War Town Tours begin at 10.15am and 11.30am and cost £3 per person.
