Former Nantwich Town manager and chairman Clive Jackson has been honoured with a prestigious award.
Clive was celebrated for his dedication and impact on grassroots football at a ceremony at the Cheshire Football Association Grassroots Football Awards.
Cllr Wayne Salisbury has been unanimously elected as the new chairman of Willaston Parish Council.
Cllr Salisbury signed the acceptance of office and received the chains of office from Cllr Craig Bailey who stepped down after five years.
Nantwich Walking Football Club is proving more popular than ever as it nears its 10th year in existence.
The club was formed in 2015 by Ray Sheppard, who is chairman, along with five or six older men who wanted to continue playing at an easier pace.

Nantwich Town Ladies have been showered with praise by the club chairman for another successful season as the women’s section continues to thrive.
The Ladies completed their season in the Premier Division of the Cheshire Women’s & Youth Football League with another victory.
Community stalwart Geoff Parsons MBE is to retire as chairman of the board of trustees for The Wingate Special Children’s Trust at the end of the year.
Geoff has been involved with the charity since 1998 when he joined as a trustee, shortly afterward being appointed chairman of the charity.
Nantwich Town chairman Jon Gold is temporarily stepping down due to ill health, the club has announced today.
Mr Gold will step aside for an initial three month period.
Crewe Alexandra Chairman John Bowler has stepped down “with immediate effect” following the Sheldon report and BBC documentary into historic sex abuse of young players at the club.
Bowler, who became Crewe chairman in 1987, said in a statement released today that it was always his intention to stand down following the conclusion of the Sheldon Review.

Mr Davison is expected to leave at the end of this month.
Cllr Craig Bailey has taken over the chain of office as chairman of Willaston Parish Council.
He succeeds Maurice Jones, who had been chairman since 2011 and is now retiring from civic life.
Nantwich woman Lynn McGill has been re-appointed as chairman of East Cheshire NHS Trust.
Lynn, who lives in Aston Juxta Mondrum near Nantwich, will serve the post for another four years.
