More than 100 members of Nantwich Running Club took part in the annual Angela Twiss Timeless 5k and 10k Runs.
The event is a Sunday social run held in the summer months in memory of the wife of Ivor Twiss, one of the club’s founding members.
Nantwich Town claimed the Eddie Morris Memorial Trophy with a 2-1 win over Whitchurch Alport in their first pre-season friendly at the KMJ Mortgages Stadium.
And the performance should provide hope for Dabbers manager Paul Carden ahead of the new season.
Nantwich town councillors have supported a plan to crowdfund a memorial to Michael “Flash” Meakin who died last month.
“Flash” was a well known and loved character in the town for more than 50 years, known as the man with the handcart collecting tin cans and scrap metal for recycling.
A packed town council meeting stood and gave a minute’s applause tonight (April 20) in memory of Nantwich legend Michael “Flash” Meakin.
Flash passed away earlier this week at home, sparking thousands of tributes and fond memories across social media.
Family, friends, former and current staff at Malbank School in Nantwich joined together to celebrate the life and contribution of former headteacher Herbert Rowsell.
Herbert died late last year and his wife and children were invited to the memorial.
A memorial is to be held in honour of Crewe father and son Roger and Bradley Stockton who died during a TT Race on Isle of Man earlier this year.
Roger, 56, and Bradley, 21, were competing as a team in a sidecars race when they crashed at the start of the second lap back in June.
A concert in memory of John White took place at Wistaston Memorial Hall.
The concert, organised by Diane Edge-Robinson (Chair of Wistaston Memorial Hall), featured Crewe Concert Band.

A memorial plaque has been unveiled in Wybunbury to honour pilot Richard Pryce Hughes on the 80th anniversary of his final operational flight.
A short commemorative film about Richard was also shown to the audience.

Nantwich Town will host North West Counties Premier Division side Whitchurch Alport in the annual Eddie Morris Memorial Cup on July 17.
The cup was set up last season in memory of the late Eddie Morris – a Dabber legend whose playing career featured Crewe Alexandra, Congleton Town and Witton Albion.
