Animal management students at the Nantwich college have created enrichment boxes for the bunnies from cereal packaging and kitchen roll tubes with hay, shredded paper and healthy treats.

Ice the guinea pig was a model patient when Reaseheath College in Nantwich opened a new veterinary nursing room. Ice, who has age-related problems, has been nursed back to health by students on a diploma for Veterinary Care Assistants.

Reaseheath’s director of business and marketing Margaret Bardsley and Nestle bosses were thanked by the Prince for their support of the Pakistani dairy industry at a gala in London.
A Reaseheath College manager spoke of his “thrill” at being awarded an MBE in the New Year’s Honours list. Geoff Oakes, who retired last year after working for the Nantwich college for 35 years, received the tribute for services to Further Education.
