Theatre lovers who have missed out on live shows in lockdown can tune in to Nantwich Players for a first “live stream” production.
The group will present one of the first live-stream productions post Covid-19 from an amateur theatre organisation in the UK this Friday, July 17.
Live shows at Nantwich Players and Crewe Lyceum have all been postponed amid the Coronavirus crisis.
Civic Comedy shows at Nantwich Civic Hall have also been postponed in April and May.

The River by Jez Butterworth is the final production this season from the Nantwich Players Studio.
Often described as a poignant non-linear psychodrama, this performance was expertly staged, and I enjoyed watching it very much.
Nantwich Players are continuing their season with their latest production – “The Beauty Queen of Leenane” – by Martin McDonagh.

One of the things I always do at the theatre is to make sure my mobile phone is switched off.
So, it felt a little strange to be at a performance at The Crewe Lyceum which not only encouraged the audience to keep their phones on, but also to use them during the show.
The Cheshire Drama Festival for one-act plays is coming to Nantwich Players theatre on Love lane next month.
It is part of the All England Theatre Festival and the winner of Cheshire will proceed to the northern finals, where they get the chance to compete for the national finals in June.

It was a privilege to be at the first performance taking place in the new Studio space at The Crewe Lyceum.
The Lyceum Studio has been created from one of the rehearsal rooms in the theatre and has been designed to bring new writing and contemporary theatre to Crewe.
