Organisers of the Bunbury Village Day have hailed the event a “resounding success” enjoyed by more than 2,000 residents.
The day got off to a fabulous start with a parade that wound its way through the centre of the village.
Bunbury Village Day AQUA FEST will take place on Saturday June 8.
Organisers are putting in place the final touches ready for the event which has been inspired by the 200th anniversary of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

The event, now in its 54th year, has a Space theme this year, with organisers hoping to “boldly go where no man (or woman) has gone before”!

It’s now time to use the force and start planning for their space-themed event.
The High Sheriff of Cheshire will be guest of honour at the Medieval-themed Bunbury Village Day on June 25.
Jeannie France-Hayhurst is one of 55 High Sheriffs installed across in the UK appointed by Her Majesty the Queen to promote wellbeing and prosperity of their region, to keep the peace, uphold the law and support the Judiciary.
The Bunbury Village Day is returning in 2022 and is scheduled to take place on Saturday June 25.
And this year organisers have chosen a Medieval theme.

The theme for the 2021 event was the Olympics, to coincide with the delayed Tokyo Games, which were postponed last year due to the pandemic.

And this year’s theme was ‘Safari’ which saw young and old dressing up in fun outfits.
The showers stayed at bay for the Bunbury village day on the jubilee playing fields.
Retiring Rose Queen Ella o’Brien and her attendants Poppy-Mary Newman, Elsa Blythin, Charlotte Thirlwell and Emily Thruswell handed over the reign to this year’s King and Queen, Flo Green and Daniel Totty.
