This is just a taster. Highlights include spending most of the Children and Families budget in Crewe.

The Police Council Tax in Cheshire has gone up by 7.3%, 13.6%, 5% , 7.1% and 4.4% over the last five years.
Now, amazingly, the Tory Police Commissioner wants to increase the Police Council Tax by a huge 6.4% this year.

Cheshire East are planning to close and build housing on two of the main car parks in Crewe town centre, Delamere Street and Chester Street.
The lost car parking spaces will be replaced by a six-storey 390 place car park, on the Royal Arcade development site in the town centre, costing Cheshire East taxpayers a huge £11,315,315.

Cheshire East Council is refusing to state what subsidy the Market Hall receives, if any, from the Council taxpayer.

We are slowly being drip fed by the news that Council Tax nationally might have larger increases with the removal of some manifesto promises plus a reduction of some services.

Action by ‘Putting Crewe First’ has ensured that a missing ‘Welcome to Crewe’ sign will be replaced in a few weeks.
The ‘Welcome to Crewe’ road sign on Nantwich Road went missing in February.
