The Police Council Tax in Cheshire has gone up by 7.3%, 13.6%, 5% , 7.1% and 4.4% over the last five years.

Now, amazingly, the Tory Police Commissioner wants to increase the Police Council Tax by a huge 6.4% this year.

Cheshire East are planning to close and build housing on two of the main car parks in Crewe town centre, Delamere Street and Chester Street.

The lost car parking spaces will be replaced by a six-storey 390 place car park, on the Royal Arcade development site in the town centre, costing Cheshire East taxpayers a huge £11,315,315.
