A singing star whose voice featured on the film score of Harry Potter, helped visitors brush up on their vocal skills at a special Nantwich Choral Society day. Susan Marrs is one of the region’s leading mezzo-soprano soloists and a Fellow of Trinity College of Music in London.
Nantwich Police are staging a series of surgeries in villages in the area for residents to air their concerns. The forthcoming rural surgeries are taking place next weekend Saturday September 15 and Sunday 16.
Town and parish councils in the Nantwich area have been awarded one-off grants by Cheshire East Council for the 2012-13 financial year. The grants are designed to alleviate the unfairness of double taxation for many parished areas of the borough.
