A number of Cheshire pubs have been awarded “COVID Community Hero status” for their work to support local communities throughout the pandemic.
The award is supported by a cross-party group of beer-loving MPs, including Eddisbury MP Edward Timpson.

Leaders of Cheshire East Council have ruled out protecting bus subsidies in their next council budget.
Currently, the authority spends £1.7 million on subsidising 12 routes across the borough.
Cheshire fire crews had one of their busiest nights for years as a powerful storm swept across south and mid Cheshire last night.
Worst hit was the Tarporley, Beeston, Tattenhall and Malpas areas as lightning sparked fires and flood waters left cars submerged and buildings under water.
Fire crews were called to a chemical incident on a canal boat in Beeston near Tarporley.
Three fire engines attended, two from Chester and one from Nantwich, and the water incident unit from Powey Lane were called to the incident.
