The former Bunbury Methodist Church could be bulldozed and replaced by a family home.
An application has been submitted to Cheshire East Council to demolish the building and replace it with one house after the council refused an application last year to build two homes on the site.

Fire crews helped rescue a man who fell into a canal at Wrenbury in Nantwich.
The incident happened last night (January 13) at around 9pm of Wrenbury Heath Road.
Police are appealing for witnesses and footage to the serious collision between a cyclist and milk tanker in Stapeley, Nantwich.
The cyclist – a 68-year-old man – was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he continues to be treated.

Fire chiefs are probing a blaze which has badly damaged a house in Shavington.
The incident happened on Sable Road at around 9pm last night (January 2).
Heavy rainfall for the past 24 hours from Storm Henk has caused localised flooding across South Cheshire.
A number of busy routes have been affected, including this flooding on A529 between Nantwich and Audlem.
The Wingate Special Children’s Trust based near Nantwich has received a £7,520 donation from Morrisons Foundation.
The trust, a charity in Wrenbury that supports children and young people with special education needs and disabilities in East Cheshire, was visited by Eddisbury MP Edward Timpson to celebrate their success.

Local choir The Groves Singers performed a special re-telling of the Dickens’ classic, ‘A Christmas Carol’ at St Mary’s Church in Acton.
The well-known story, written by Charles Dickens, was told in song, interwoven with some familiar old carols.

The free event welcomed visitors to view over 30 dressed 6ft Christmas trees.

Wistaston Singers performed their annual fund-raising ‘Christmas Carol Concert’ at St Stephen’s Methodist Church in Crewe.
Phil Houghton (Musical Director) and Clare Shackleton (Assistant Musical Director) alternated in introducing each song and soloist.
Bunbury village is to host a rural community “Great Winter Get Together” event on January 20.
It’s part of a national initiative aimed at keeping rural communities connected after Christmas and will take place at Bunbury Pavilion.

Wistaston Community Council’s annual ‘Christmas Concert’ brought festive cheer to villagers.
The concert, at St Mary’s Church Hall on Church Lane in Wistaston, featured the Wells Green Choir led by Myra Wood, The Swinging Woodpeckers and Wistaston Church Lane Academy Choir.
