Beeston and Tarporley Station looks set to reopen after being given Government backing to reconnect to the rail network.

Members of Beeston and Tarporley Station Reopening Group (BTSRG) are celebrating after they received notice from the Department for Transport (DfT) that approval had been given.

Tarporley choir Decibellas raise funds for mental health charity

Tarporley choir Decibellas has gifted mental health charity Platform for Life over £2,000 raised from their summer concert and awarded in a grant.

The 75-strong choir for upper voices invited Platform for Life to hold a collection at their concert in St Boniface Church in Bunbury, which raised over £1,140.

Inside the church, “Tea at the Tower” embraced harvest with drinks and cakes, craft and harvest exhibits, a harvest pollinator quiz, a folk band and Acton Academy displays.

The Graham Heath Group has had permission for several years to operate its existing concrete panel business at the site off Wrenbury Road, next to the village railway station.
