The fire broke out at around 10.15am yesterday (April 13) on Prince Edward Street, Nantwich.

A student from Tarporley who was diagnosed with advanced cancer the day before his 19th birthday, is set to walk 240 miles for two charities only a year after beginning his treatment.

Patrick Savage, 20, will walk from his university campus in London to The Christie hospital in Manchester where he was treated last year for Hodgkin’s lymphoma – a type of blood cancer.

A kind-hearted Wistaston resident has donated a chainsaw art sculpture she produced to the village so it can be enjoyed by the community.

Sandie Wilson, 61, handed over the 25-inch tall oak sculpture of an owl which has been placed on a plinth in Joey the Swan recreation ground in Wistaston by the Wistaston Conservation Group.
