A Tarporley youngster has won a Cheshire Wildlife Trust competition to come up with names for two beavers introduced back into the wild.

For the past two years, the Wistaston Scout Group have displayed an impressive 24ft long Remembrance Day poppy cascade outside their Scout Centre in 2019 and Wistaston Memorial Hall in 2020.

A kind-hearted Wistaston resident has donated a chainsaw art sculpture she produced to the village so it can be enjoyed by the community.
Sandie Wilson, 61, handed over the 25-inch tall oak sculpture of an owl which has been placed on a plinth in Joey the Swan recreation ground in Wistaston by the Wistaston Conservation Group.
