A vehicle fire damaged the A500 Shavington bypass embankment.
The incident happened on the dual carriageway heading towards the Shavington roundabout.

Keen photographer Jonathan White has clocked up 12 years of community reporting in and around his village of Wistaston.
Jonathan, who works full-time at Cheshire College – South & West, began submitting articles to the local media back in 2006.

Shavington nursery Roundabouts to get garden revamp from homebuilder grant
The Roundabouts Day Nursery in Shavington is to enjoy a garden revamp after receiving a community donation from homebuilder Taylor Wimpey Manchester.
The nursery, which turns three-years-old this year, has been given £500 to build higher fencing and a new gate, to ensure the safety of the children, as well as to provide more plants and outdoor covering.

Fire crews forced their way into a house in Acton to tackle a kitchen blaze.
The blaze started after a cooker was left unattended at a house on Chester Road at around 2.20pm yesterday (June 5).
Popular Shavington pub Cheshire Cheese changes hands again
Popular Shavington pub The Cheshire Cheese has been closed for refurbishment and is to be re-opened by Martin Lewis.
Previous landlord Adam Scally left the pub at the end of May, just a year after taking over.

The event will start with the Rose Queen parade from the Wistaston Memorial Hall at 1.30pm.

A large number of birds have died in a fire at a farm in Tarporley, fire chiefs have said.
The blaze happened at a farm on Peckforton Hall Lane and involved two large wooden sheds, each about five metres by three metres.

The wife of Audlem man Adam Lovatt who died after an incident outside a village pub, has spoken out about her “immense loss”.
Mr Lovatt was found with serious head injuries outside the Bridge Inn on Shropshire Street on May 25 and died later in hospital.
