Thousands of pounds were raised at the 64th Cancer Research UK ‘Xmas Fair’ at Wistaston Memorial Hall.
This annual event was organised by the Crewe & Nantwich Cancer Research UK Group.
Great British Bake Off finalist Luis Troyano aims to bring festive cheer and share traditional Christmas bakes at the Willaston Festive Bazaar on Sunday (December 1).
The event aims to raise money for the Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity and will take place at the Bayley Croft development on Moorfields.

Wistaston in Bloom have won the Gold Award in the Town Category at the ‘Britain in Bloom’ (North West) 2019 awards for the second year in succession.
They received their certificate at a ceremony at the Southport Convention Centre.
Delighted youngsters at Wistaston Church Lane Academy have been enjoying the school’s new Early Years Reception outdoor learning area.
The new outdoor area now has a climbing frame, a race track for scooters and bikes, a mud kitchen, a sand box and a special outdoor classroom.

Wistaston Scout Group (35th South West Cheshire) produced a fitting tribute to all those who lost their lives in war and conflict.
The group put together an impressive vertical display of poppies, made of plastic bottle ends painted red to resemble poppies, with the Union Flag flying on top.
The Wistaston Community Council Fireworks Display takes place on Saturday November 2.
The event starts from 6.30pm at the Eric Swan Sports Ground/Brittles Pavilion off Church Lane, behind Wistaston Church Lane Academy.
The annual Wistaston Memorial Hall ‘Quiz Night’ for the Fred Lorimer trophy takes place on Tuesday October 22.
Quizzing starts from 7.30pm at Wistaston Memorial Hall, Church Lane.

A ‘Musical Extravaganza’ fund-raising concert took place at Wistaston Memorial Hall & Community Centre.
The concert featured Crewe Concert Band conducted by their musical director Adam Shilton.
The first “plastic free” outlet launches in Nantwich when The Store mobile truck shop hits the streets.
The truck will be parked up on Churchside Yard in Nantwich from 9am-3pm this Saturday October 19.
Wistaston Young Drama Group has hit top marks in the London Academy of Dramatic Art examination results.
They earned a Distinction in choral speaking and in solo acting examinations.

Villagers have blasted housing developers after a Wistaston landmark tree was ripped up and chucked in a skip.
The solitary hawthorn, known by locals as “the tree”, was uprooted as part of the housing development on Witters Field off Church Lane.
Hundreds of plastic ducks raced each other in Wistaston at the annnual “Duck Race and Children’s Model Boat Race” event.
Villagers gathered at the Joey the Swan Recreation ground for the event which was organised by members of the Wistaston Community Council.
The annual Wistaston ‘Duck Race and Children’s Model Boat Race’ takes place this Saturday September 7.
The event will take place at the Joey the Swan recreation ground, Wistaston.
