Nantwich Town Mayor David Marren has opened the new Cheshire Civil War Centre gallery at Nantwich Museum.

A ‘Bingo at the bookshop’ fundraising event will take place at Nantwich Bookshop & Coffee Lounge in aid of a local partially-sighted football team.
The event at the shop on High Street takes place on Tuesday April 9 from 6.30pm onwards.
A talk called “A Bit of a Journey” by award-winning landscape photographer and author Mark Gilligan will be hosted by Nantwich Camera Club.
The talk takes place at a special event at 7.30pm on Tuesday March 26 at the club’s meeting room on Regents Park, London Road, Nantwich.

The Royal School of Church Music’s “Come and Sing Faure’s Requiem” annual event takes place in Nantwich this weekend.
It will be held on Saturday March 23 with a rehearsal at 2.45pm and performance at 6.30pm at St Mary’s Church.
Nantwich young farmers helped to raise more than £9,500 for local causes from their 49th annual pantomime ‘Peter Pan & Captain hooks revenge’.
After many weeks of hard work and dedication, members managed to raise a staggering £9,601.
Nantwich Library will be in fine voice when it stages a fundraising singing event for this year’s Comic Relief.
The event is on Wednesday March 13 from 11am at the Beam Street venue.
Nantwich Museum is celebrating Pancake Day on Shrove Tuesday (March 5).
Pancakes and refreshments will be served in the Millennium Gallery from 10.30am until 12.30pm.

The annual South Cheshire Militaire universal model show thrilled the crowds at Malbank School in Nantwich.
The show is organised by the South Cheshire Military Modelling Club.
The Cheshire Drama Festival for one-act plays is coming to Nantwich Players theatre on Love lane next month.
It is part of the All England Theatre Festival and the winner of Cheshire will proceed to the northern finals, where they get the chance to compete for the national finals in June.
