Luke Robinson’s sparkling start to Nantwich CC’s season continued as the first team recorded their second emphatic victory of the new campaign.
With the Dabbers batting second against Timperley at Whitehouse Lane, Robinson (84 no) hit five sixes and eight fours.

Nantwich Town Disability Football (NTDF) are hosting their annual ’24-hour Football-a-thon’ later this month.
The event will take place at Nantwich Town FC’s Swansway Stadium 3G pitch at 7pm on Friday May 31.
Nantwich residents entitled to Beam Heath Trust dividends can claim their payment this year on July 3.
The modest annual dividend is from an ancient trust, which was updated by the Beam Heath Act, 1823.

Shavington Village Festival Committee have organised a ‘D-Day 80’ event on June 8 at St Mark’s Church Hall on Main Road.
The event is to commemorate 80 years since D-Day and will include a themed quiz and live music with a fish & chip supper.

Despite his nationwide string of defeats in last Thursday’s elections, Rishi Sunak says he’s confident that voters will “stick with” the Conservative Party at the next election.
That would be a novelty, given that even his own party members did not stick with him – when he went head to head with Liz Truss to be Tory leader, they voted for her instead of him, and as the loser he only got to take her place after she crashed the economy.
