Cheshire East Council is “working hard to make roads safe”, claimed a council leader today.
It comes after many motorists flooded us with complaints about the crumbling state of our busy A roads, in particular the A530 Middlewich Road and A530 Whitchurch Road.

Workmen arrived at the affected section of A530 Middlewich Road yesterday (Monday) to fill in potholes.
However, upon driving past the same section today, it’s clear that the repairs were poorly executed.
The pothole-ridden A530 Whitchurch Road is to be closed for four days near Aston and Broomhall for repairs.
Cheshire East Council started works today (January 27) and a closure is in place between the junction of Slaughterhouse Lane to the junction of Shropshire Lane.

A driver was left trapped and injured after a crash between a car and a tractor on a busy road near Nantwich.
The incident happened on the A530 Whitchurch Road at Baddington at 2.30pm yesterday (May 28).
Police are still looking for witnesses and CCTV or dashcam footage following the horror crash on the A530 near Nantwich which caused the death of 19-year-old Felix Davies.
