A Nantwich pub has announced plans for a new beer festival after being included in the Campaign for Real Ale Guide to a top pint.
The Black Lion, on Welsh Row, appears in the 50th anniversary edition of CAMRA’S Good Beer Guide celebrating the UK’s finest pubs.
Packed venues across Nantwich enjoyed a bumper Jazz & Blues Festival over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, which police say passed “largely peacefully”.
The festival featured more than 100 gigs at pubs, restaurants, and other sites across Nantwich.
Tickets are running out fast for the Nantwich Jazz, Blues and Music Festival headline shows as organisers prepare for the 25th anniversary of the event.
The Easter weekend event, which attracts thousands of visitors to Nantwich, is taking place this year from April 6-10.

Visitors enjoyed the sixth annual ‘Christmas Tree Festival’ at St Mary’s Church on Monks Lane in Acton.
The event was free entry, with donations received towards church funds, and allowed visitors to view 40 beautifully dressed 6ft Christmas trees.

Amplified music events at Cholmondeley Estate will have to end at midnight following 234 complaints about a festival which was so loud one local family moved into a hotel.
Environmental health officer Margaret Hopley said the four-day Outlook Festival between June 30 and July 3 featured live music from 4pm to 4am and was audible up to 11 miles from the premises.

Thousands of people packed in to Audlem yesterday to enjoy the 23rd annual ‘Audlem Festival of Transport’.
The day began with a spectacular parade of more than 250 cars, commercial vehicles, tractors and motorcycles.

It will be a dog’s day out at the annual Marbury Merry Days event this weekend.
The two-day festival has set aside the second day, May 15, as “The Day for Dogs” at the village event near Wrenbury.
