An inaugural ‘Acton Movie Night’ will take place in Acton near Nantwich on Friday September 6.
The event, a 7:30pm start, will be held in Acton Parish Hall on Chester Road.
St Mary’s Nantwich has launched a £400,000 appeal to restore parts of the “Cathedral of South Cheshire”.
The grade 1 listed building is seen as being of “exceptional architectural and historic interest”.

A charity concert at St Mary’s Church in Acton has helped raise vital funds for the ‘Mary’s Meals’ charity.
The concert featured Mary’s Meals musicians – Caroline Morris, Jane Alcock, John Rowell, Tracey-Anne Green, Elfin Bow – who performed a mix of classical baroque music and folk songs.

St Mary’s Church in Acton is to host an evening of musical entertainment in aid of the charity ‘Mary’s Meals’.
The event will take place on Saturday May 25 starting at 7pm.
Nantwich Historical Society has launched its new season with the next meeting scheduled for Wednesday November 1 from 7.30pm.
The society seeks new volunteers for its committee, with positions to suit the experience and interests of new members.

‘Tea at The Tower’ guided walks are taking place every month from St Mary’s Church on Monks Lane in Acton, near Nantwich.
The walks are at a relaxed pace and routes mainly involve canal towpath and lane walking but may involve stiles.

St Mary’s Acton will host an exhibition to setup a duo of events during the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend.
On Saturday June 4 they are hosting a Jubilee-themed exhibition inside the church from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

The heaviest six bells in the St Mary’s Church tower in Wistaston will celebrate their centenary this year.
A dedication service took place for the bells back on February 19, 1921.
Acton Operatic Society will perform the show-stopping hits of Rodgers & Hammerstein in a fund-raising concert on January 25.
The concert will be held at St Mary’s Church on Monks Lane in Acton, 7.30pm start.

‘Tea at The Tower’ guided circular walks are being staged from St Mary’s Church in Acton.
The walks are chosen to be good underfoot, do not involve climbing fences and are circular country walks of two hours and four miles.
Police say two arson attacks on town centre church buildings in Nantwich are linked.
Officers are appealing for witnesses following the two fires which happened on Monday night, June 19.
