A Nantwich youngster has won a contest to switch on the town’s Christmas Lights this weekend.

Eight-year-old Lilyanna won with her answer of 2,000 when trying to guess the number of lights on the star which will top the town’s Christmas tree.

A £200,000 upgrade of Nantwich Pool has started with repairs and improvements to the Cheshire East Council owned leisure facility.
