Nantwich student is St Luke’s ‘Queen of Hearts’ after raising £1,120

A teeange girl from Nantwich is smiling like a Cheshire Cat after her Alice in Wonderland themed Garden Party raised £1,120 for St Luke’s Hospice.

Fifteen-year-old Katie Everett, a year 10 student at Brine Leas School, decided to organise a fundraising garden party to fulfil the volunteering section of her Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award.

A ‘Cyber Crime’ show garden designed and built by Reaseheath students in Nantwich was sowing the seeds of online safety to visitors at the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park.

The garden, commissioned by Cheshire Police and sponsored by Barclays, highlights the importance of staying safe online and features the Constabulary’s 5Cs (Create, Cover, Confidentiality, Click, Connect) Guide to Online Safety.
