Police hunt burglars who broke into Barbridge house

Burglars broke into a house in Barbridge near Nantwich and tried to steal bikes before being disturbed.

Detectives appealing for witnesses say offenders targeted the back entrance of an address on Bankside Close in Barbridge.

Around 40 historic and colourful ex-working narrow boats were moored along the bottom three lock pounds of the Audlem flight of locks on the Shropshire Union Canal.
