An appeal has gone out for volunteers to take part in wildflower plug planting session at Brookfield Park in Nantwich this Saturday.
Sustainable Nantwich are organising the event and want volunteers to help plant hundreds of wildflower plants which have been grown by Cheshire Wildlife Trust.
A new seven-week course on Creative Writing is set to start at Brine Leas Academy in Nantwich.
The course, run by Liam Doran, will launch on Thursday 25th January, from 7pm to 9pm.
This Sunday will mark 80 years to the day since pilot Lt Arthur Brown diverted his World War Two plane away from Nantwich town centre before crashing close to the river.

Families packed St Mary’s Church for the annual Crib Service on Christmas Eve.
This re-telling of the Christmas story was performed by adults and young people at 2pm, 3:30pm and 5pm with each performance attracting up to 500 people.
Milldale Scouts will be running their annual Christmas Tree collection service in January.
The group has been collecting and environmentally disposing of Christmas trees in the area for more than 20 years.

A Christmas concert featuring the Acton Operatic Society at St Mary’s Church in Acton proved a big hit.
Kevin Whitfield, Director of Acton Operatic Society, introduced each piece of music to a sold-out audience.
An exhibition called “Within the Loop” by Threadmill has opened at Nantwich Museum and will run until Saturday 17 February.
The Cheshire-based Threadmill Textile Artists display of work is the Millennium Gallery at the Pillory Street venue.
Nantwich Choral Society is limbering up for its popular Family Christmas Concert at St Mary’s Church.
It takes place 6.30 pm on Wednesday December 20.
