Crewe Lyceum is the perfect theatre to listen to ghost stories.
And so, along with an auditorium full of strangers, I went on Tuesday night to watch The Woman in Black.
Crewe Amateur Musicals Society celebrated their 100 year anniversary by bringing Kinky Boots to the stage at the Lyceum this week, and what a fabulous show to celebrate with, writes Claire Faulkner.
Based on the film written by Geoff Deane and Tim Firth, Kinky Boots tells the story of Charlie Price, who inherits a struggling shoe factory and his friendship with Lola, a drag queen who is ready to take on the world.

Nantwich Players Studio presented The White Bike by Tamara von Werthern this weekend.
Directed by Holly Jones, this one act play is based on the true story of Eilidh Cairns, a young female cyclist who was killed by a lorry in 2009, and the first person to have a white bike erected in their memory.

The Crewe Lyceum Summer Youth Project delighted audiences on Sunday with this year’s production of Oliver Jr!.
The cast were all aged between 8 and 18 and had just one week working with a professional director, choreographer and musical director to put together the final show.
