Nantwich Town recorded their biggest ever win in the Cheshire Senior Cup with a 10-1 win over Runcorn Town at the Swansway Stadium.

The visitors from two divisions lower had injury issues which meant a relatively inexperienced side was put out.

Cheshire East Council has no plans to introduce parking charges on the council-owned staff car park in Sandbach – meaning its workers will continue to park free if others are charged.

The cash-strapped council has consulted with residents on plans to introduce charges in “free-parking” towns like Sandbach and to revise charges – mainly upwards – in those which already pay such as Nantwich.
